The 21st Annual Alternative Gifts Market will be held at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church (in conjunction with St. Mary of the Lake Church) corner of Plymouth Rd & Sunset Trail, (co-sponsored by St. Mary of the Lake Church) this weekend, November 9 & 10, from 9 am to 1 pm both days.
Gifts that Change the World—Provide food and shelter for hungry, homeless Americans, supply a library for a village in Nicaragua, provide prenatal care and nutrition for young mothers in Guatemala—when you give these and similar “alternative gifts,” you receive inscribed Christmas or all-occasion cards describing your gifts, to present to your loved ones. Thus you solve your gift-giving problems and build a better world at the same time! Come and celebrate the true spirit of Christmas! Also available at the Market are third-world craft items from SERRV and ExpoPERU, such as basketware, hand-crafted jewelry, toys, musical instruments, woodcarvings, nativity sets and many more articles from Fair Trade crafts people will be available at the Market. Cash or checks accepted—no credit cards. Questions contact Anna Delaney at 612-843-3375.
